Tub surround with shades of emerald green ceramic tiles, white grout, black tile edge trim, and black shower fixtures. This is a remodel project for a flip house in the Morada suburbs area of Stockton, California. It was for two general contractors and an interior designer that collaborated together to bring this project to fruition.
We installed tile for the master bathroom shower, hall bathtub surround, kitchen backsplash, and fireplace.
Our services were performed in two phases; The bathrooms were done first. Then the kitchen backsplash and fireplace tile was installed a couple weeks later after the cabinets and countertops were installed, and the fireplace was prepped and ready for us to get after it.
Knowing how busy we were at the time, and wanting the project to be completed in a timely manner, all installation and finish materials were generously supplied to us and placed on site by the general contractors. We definitely appreciate accommodations and respectful business relationships like this.
The contractor specified where they wanted the niche to be located - off-center away from the shower head and in between the next set of studs, so that it wouldn't take on as much water while showering. And at an arms reach level height.
After we figured out our layout, we installed the prefabricated niche inserts in the desired location as requested.
DensShield was used as the substrate for the shower walls. To ensure that it would be 100% waterproof, we properly sealed it by caulking all of the seams and covered all of the screw heads.
The primary bathroom had a new fiberglass shower pan installed. Making it just the three walls and a niche to tile.
This picture is after it had been staged and professionally photographed.

As we wrapped up both bathrooms, the flooring guys began prepping and installing LVP (luxury vinyl planks) and carpet.
The cabinets and countertops needed to be put in after they were finished. And the fireplace needed some additional prep work, as well.
We were able to return back within just a few short weeks later to install the kitchen backsplash and the fireplace.
The kitchen backsplash was pretty straight forward...
We used 2"x8" handmade look ceramic tiles. They are an off-white beige looking almond color. Installed them on a subway like brick joint pattern.
We centered it off of the sink and window opening in between the upper cabinets, and then ran with the pattern to wrap the corners and continue onto the return walls of the stove side and the refrigerator side, as well.

Due to the larger sized format tiles, this fireplace was naturally a little more complex than the bathrooms and backsplash. But it wasn't anything new that we haven't already experienced before. We've encountered plenty enough of our fair share, including this same exact style type.
These are 2 feet by 4 feet tiles with a 3D wood slated look profile.
