Prep Work

The majority of the projects that we take on are ready to go, with what we consider as, minimal prep work.

We will occasionally perform complete demolition tear outs for remodel renovations. Most instances, we leave that up to our general building contractors.

Waterproofing Prep Work

Waterproofing is part of our tiling service prep work for certain projects. Which most especially includes interior and exterior features that will be frequently exposed to an excess of water, such as showers, tub surrounds, and fountains.

Our options and methods for waterproofing shower pans:

• hot mop tar
• foam board pans
• hybrid methods

Shower Walls and Tub Surrounds

Shower walls and tub surrounds will require either one, or a combination of, the following applications...

• liquid membrane
• felt membrane
• foam board
• cement board
• float with fat mud

Finish Work

Putting the finishing touches on a tile job is grouting. Along with the option to apply a sealer.

Grouting - various grout brands and colors to select from.

Sealing - some grouts don't require to be sealed, while others can be sealed for extra assurance.
