Dairy Queen in Manteca menu board wall installed with 8"x16" white ceramic tiles with a brick joint pattern and 1/8" grout lines, finished with white sanded grout.Per the guidelines of a franchisor parent company, franchisees are required to spend an allocated amount of money for remodeling the restaurant(s) that they are operating. Dairy Queen requires new renovations to be done every 10 years.
We've been apart of DQ's renovations at 3 different locations. The Manteca and Stockton locations are owned and operated by the same franchisee owner, and the one in the Vintage Faire Mall in Modesto is owned by another.
The Manteca location is the first DQ that we took part of. We did this project in the summer of 2021 as the stay-at-home restrictions began to get lifted during the pandemic.
We prepped and tiled the following:
All of the existing floor and wainscot tiles remained. We just needed to patch in the sections where our contractor removed the booth partition walls in the dining area.
The following pictures are of some of the finished tile installations for this project...
This area is what the average customer may see immediately upon walking into the set of entryway doors heading inside of the restaurant.

A couple years later, he called to inform me that he got the deal finalized and would like for us to come work on this one, as well.
This DQ project wasn't as big as the previous one showcased above in Manteca. It doesn't even have a drive-thru.
This is the before and after pictures of the cake and treats refrigerator enclosure. The cool and calming blue color looked so nice and clean, that I actually felt a little bad having to install tile over it.

Dairy Queen in Stockton digital menu board wall renovated with new tile. There were a few other sections of walls that we set tile onto, as well. This is just the main one that we feel deserves to take a quick look at.
This location is really quite small and didn't have much tile work. It was just a little one row of tile to fill in on a countertop backsplash, and the face of the front sales counter as shown here below.
