Listed below are some frequently asked questions about us and our tiling services.
Is California Custom Tile licensed and insured?
Yes - We have been licensed since 2014. We hold a C-54 tile installation contractors license. We are bonded and insured with general liability, workers compensation, and commercial auto. Refer to the CSLB website to do a license check. Our license lookup number is 997709.
Do you provide free estimates and bids?
Yes - We do provide free quotes.
How much do you charge for your tiling services?
We have a structured system of costs for various standard projects. However,...
Each and every job is different. So our costs may slightly vary from one project to the next. It depends on various factors; such as the style type of the tile, the design layout, and the amount of work involved.
Do you do demo (demolition) work?
Yes - We occasionally do demo work in preparation of our tile installation projects.
However, we are not allowed to move and relocate things such as plumbing, electrical, and structural walls, unless it's incidental during the demolition process. We do have quite a few specialty contractors and designers that we can bring on board for your remodeling project.
The majority of the projects that we often take on are already ready for us to get started with minimal prep.
Do you do tile projects outside of Stockton?
Yes - Although a lot of our projects are generally within a 50 mile radius of Stockton throughout the central San Joaquin Valley, we often do projects that extend out further. For more info, check out our service areas.
Can you install tile over brick?
Yes - We can install tile over brick, as long as the brick and mortar is structurally sound and is not dilapidated and crumbling apart. We will assess and address it to make sure that it is clean of dirt and debris prior to installing new tiles. Raised surface brick and painted brick will require additional prep work.
Can you install new tile over old existing tile?
Yes - We can install new tile over existing tile, as long as the tile and substrate is solid. There will be additional preparation steps involved. And it most likely will require a primer top coat on the existing tile, as well.
Do you supply tile?
No - We are not a tile supply distribution company.
